Dr Reinarda van Waart
Gynaecologist and Obstetrician
Dr Reinarda van Waart is a gynaecologist and obstetrician based in Durbanville, South Africa. With over 30 years of experience, Dr van Waart has played a key role in helping bring newborns safe into the world, as well as taking excellent care of moms-to-be and looking after both pregnant and non-pregnant women of all walks of life. She has built sound relationships with many of her patients, who have continued to see her over the years.
Before relocating to Durbanville in 2012, Dr van Waart worked as gynaecologist and obstetrician in Mossel Bay. Here, she set up a well-women centre called Eve's Eden and initiated the development of the town's first private hospital, Life Bay View Private Hospital. During this period, she also lectured, trained, and organised clinics in the Southern Cape public health sector.

Dr van Waart currently represents obstetricians from the Western Cape on the committee of the BetterObs programme of The South African Society of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (SASOG).
